State of the Economy...a different perspective.
Stimulus, Recovery, Recession, Depression. Plenty of News,
endless conversations and meaningless backroom chatter.
Fingers pointed. Solutions offered.
It's the housing bubble. It's the Fed. It's Bush's fault! It's O'Bama's
folly.
It's the banks! Oops? Did I say banks?
The news is filled with who did it and ran. From bailouts to budget busting bills before Congress. Who made-off with our money? Bernie's off to jail with no $200 "get out free" card. Meanwhile he has a brand new number (this one's on his back) and it's likely to be with him for a very long time. I don't think the great escape artist Houdini could get him out of this one.
Bernie got away with $65 billion (that's $65,000,000,000). Everyone's mad at Madoff and rightly so. Mad at AIG and the schemers who put their hand in the bailout pot and withdrew another $165 million in bonuses...their reward for "sinking" one of the biggest corporate ships on the sea.
This one makes the Titanic look like a fairy tale.
While everyone is so tantalized by the bunglers who made Bonnie and Clyde seem like rank amateurs, the bankers who started the whole thing are hoping no one is smart enough or brave enough to track the origin of when, where and how it (the cycle of greed) all began.
The only ones in the media who seem to be probing anything at all are the more spirited group of broadcasters on CNN.
